The Role:
Registered Nurse    
 
We are looking for an experienced part-time Registered Nurse based in our Avondrust Lodge site in Carrum Downs. The successful candidate is responsible to the Clinical Care Coordinator, and would work closely with the site Managers and Clinical Care Coordinators to provide quality individualised care with enthusiasm to the residents. If you are a Registered Nurse Division 1 with a current practicing certificate AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency), and have aged care experience please apply now.

The Role:
Domestic Support Workers (unqualified PCA/PCW)
 
We are looking for casual Domestic Support Workers (unqualified PCA/PWC) in the Cleveland and Sunnybank areas in Brisbane, Queensland to ensure that our MiCare home care clients' quality of life is enhanced through their relationship with MiCare. Your excellent interpersonal skills will enhance MiCare's position as a provider of choice particularly for migrant communities.  
 
Locations: Various locations including Sunnybank and Redlands area/Cleveland in Brisbane, Queensland
 
Hours: Casual — you  must be available a minimum of 3 week days. Paid training and kilometres reimbursement is also included in the role.
 
Domestic support workers are responsible for delivering direct care services (in the client's own home) while keeping in  with the roster and task lists including:
  • Cleaning — kitchen, bathroom, toilets
  • Vacuuming and moping
  • Dusting
  • Washing and ironing
  • Changing bed linen
  • Unaccompanied shopping and errands
  • Preparation and cooking of meals
  • Washing dishes
  • Defrosting & cleaning refrigerators
  • Emptying and cleaning of commodes  
To be considered for this role you must have:
  • Previous experience in domestic care
  • Minimum availability of three (3) week days
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Experience caring for people with specific care needs, dementia and challenging behaviours in adults
  • Queensland drivers license and an insured and roadworthy vehicle
  • Smartphone, access to computer (printer/scanner/fax)
 
Skills
  • Ability to communicate in a language other than English is preferable

We are looking for experienced Registered Nurses to work AM, PM and night shifts based at our Birkdale, Queensland site. The successful candidates will be responsible to the Clinical Care Coordinator, and would work closely with the site Managers and Clinical Care Coordinators to provide quality individualised care with enthusiasm to the residents, and a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors. Mentoring a group of carers, making good clinical and holistic decisions for our Elders while supporting our dedicated team will be required. The Role:

Hope@Hand Team Leader

We are looking for a Hope@Hand Team Leader to manage our social enterprise developed to provide employment opportunities to migrants and refugees and to deliver gardening and cleaning services to contractors and individuals. This is a hands on position responsible for the day to day operations of the Hope@Hand program that operates across the Melbourne Metropolitan region. The position is also responsible for the overall supervision and support of the team. Most staff are migrants and/or refugees who are entering the Australian workforce and have limited English language skills.  The Team Leader will have administration functions which are critical to the success of the enterprise and day to day on the job supervision responsibilities. The position will contribute to the growth of the enterprise to become financially sustainable.    

Location: Werribee, Melbourne

Hours: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall day to day operations of Hope@Hand services, ensuring that services are delivered at a very high and professional standards
  • Ensure work is conducted according to expectations and health and safety standards
  • Recruit and induct gardeners and cleaners to the program as required
  • Oversee the supervision and support of the gardeners and cleaners on a day to day basis and when necessary attend jobs with the teams to ensure outcomes are met.
  • Respond to all enquiries about services
  • Contribute to the development of a business and communication/marketing plan
  • Coordinate service contracts
  • Assess and provide quotations for jobs
  • Source gardening and cleaning supplies
  • Provide excellent customer service to a range of clients such as MiCare aged care programs, clients, other contractors etc.
  • Responsible for all administrative functions, bookings, cancellations, contact with staff and clients.
  • Book and assign weekly jobs to staff. Develop work schedules and communicate to staff as required
  • Sign off fortnightly time sheets
  • Ensure all invoicing and payment requests are forwarded to finance for processing
  • Manage and input data into relevant IT systems.

 

Your Qualifications:

Minimum – Experience in running own gardening/cleaning business and/or in supervising teams and meeting KPIs.

  • Experience/keen interest in supporting people from migrant and refugee backgrounds would be highly regarded

The Role:

Home Care Advisor — Gippsland Region

We are looking for experienced Home Care Advisor – Gippsland Region.

Location: Co-located with medical clinic in Morwell (Gippsland region) 3 days, with the ability to work from home up to 2 days a week.  

Hours: 23 - 38 hours per week.  This role will commence as part time (3 or 4 days) with the view of full time as client numbers and caseloads increase, and with the addition of new funding.

Project Officer — Youth Health and Wellbeing Leadership Program

The Project Officer will have strong community engagement skills to support the implementation of a series of community based health and wellbeing, soccer activities, leadership workshops and related projects with young people from new and emerging communities in the West Metropolitan region.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualifications in education, community development, social work or other relevant field
  • Qualifications from a recognised TAFE, College or University in Community Services, Sport and Recreation or similar and/or wide ranging experience in developing and coordinating sport activities and programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the issues faced by young people from Refugee, Migrant, CALD and low socio-economic backgrounds

 

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of time management and organisational skills and capacity to work effectively within agreed timeframes
