MiCare organised hiking trip for Afghan families

Connecting with nature has always been a great way to explore and connect with the new home country Australia. On 4th March, MiCare partnered with First Hike project and organized First Hike including overnight Camping in Mirrindindi Scennic reserve for newly arrived Afghan families. For most of the participants, it was their first time spending time in the wild. According to one of the participants, “It was a wonderful experience from the long bush walk, campfire, cooking and sleeping in the nature everything was so perfect”. Activities like hiking and camping can be a great way to introduce refugees to the natural beauty of their new home country.
