Residential Care employees that aspire to become Registered Nurses can apply for education Scholarships directly to their facility Manager, to cover costs of a Nursing degree.

Save on tax with generous Salary Packaging – MiCare is a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) and all employees (casual, fixed term or permanent) can save on tax!

General living expenses and regional area benefits – General living expenses up to $15,900 each FBT year are able to be salary packaged tax-free.  Employees who live in Regional areas can salary package more, as part of remote area benefits.

Meal Entertainment – You can request to spend up to $2,650 of your pre-tax income per FBT year on meals.  It’s a great way to pre-plan quality time with friends and family over a good meal at your favourite café or restaurant.

Complete a traineeship or student placement with MiCare

At MiCare we have a proud history of supporting career progression.  We offer traineeships for relevant courses in partnership with school, tertiary institutions and employment agencies.  We are committed to your career progression and can offer you pathways to other roles of the organisation by supporting your student placement or supporting you as a new graduate to transition more smoothly from study to employment.

We welcome students who are nearing completion of their course and are looking for student placement.  We accept students enrolled with a Registered Training Organisation for the below listed courses:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support
  • Certificate IV Ageing Support
  • Certificate IV and Diploma in Leisure and Health
  • Diploma of Nursing
  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Bachelor of Social Work
  • Master of Social Work

Our students are well supported and if positions are available, we interview and employ based on their suitability on a part-time or casual basis while they are completing their qualification.  Student placement is a great way to get your foot in the door!

MiStaff – We support Migrant communities by offering a pathway to employment. MiStaff is a social enterprise that supports migrants and refugees to work while they learn in

Aged Care, Cleaning and Gardening. We offer accredited courses in:

  • Cert IV in Ageing Support
  • Certificate III in Cleaning Operations
  • Certificate III in Parks and Gardens
