MiCare hosted Volunteer Development sessions over seven events at different locations across Victoria and Queensland recently. The theme for these sessions was ‘Professional boundaries.’
These events are always a wonderful opportunity to spend a few hours with Volunteers,
to share experiences and stories of positive connections volunteers make in the community through our visiting programs, as well as supporting MiCare Homes and Elders, directly or indirectly through their volunteer work. We value each volunteer’s ongoing commitment to their volunteer role and recognise the vital role of volunteers, in encouraging active community engagement and supporting others.
Thank you to all those volunteers who were able to join us for a few hours in New Farm, Cleveland, Geelong, Sunshine, Carrum Downs, Bendigo, and Kilsyth. We would also like to acknowledge that many Volunteers were unable to join these events due to work and personal commitments and our team looks forward to connecting again at a later date.
“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.” ~ Elizabeth Andrew
