The Melbourne Cup celebrations at Prins Willem Alexander Village

The Melbourne Cup celebrations at Prins Willem Alexander Village kicked off in a lively and festive atmosphere, with participants donning their most creative hats and fascinators for a colorful parade. Everyone showed off their unique styles, ranging from whimsical to elegant, adding an extra flair to the event. The fun continued with a classic Egg & Spoon race, where both young and old competed in a spirited display of balance and agility, creating plenty of laughter and camaraderie among the crowd.

As the day progressed, the excitement built up to the much-anticipated Melbourne Cup race itself. With cheers and anticipation in the air, attendees gathered around to watch the thrilling race, celebrating the spirit of the event together. The blend of light-hearted activities and the grandeur of the Cup race provided a perfect balance of fun and excitement, ensuring a memorable celebration for all.

Social Support Group

I attend the MiCare Social Support Group to connect with people, share a nice meal, and enjoy the company—I would truly miss it if I couldn’t attend. I look forward to the bus outings, as they give me the chance to socialise with others. The MiCare Social Support Group makes a big difference in my life. It gives me a reason to get up in the morning, stay active, and most importantly, have wonderful conversations with everyone. I chose MiCare after carefully considering different providers, and I’m very happy with my decision. My Home Care Package case manager at MiCare is always helpful and keeps in regular touch with me, which I really appreciate. I also enjoy living at MiCare Village in Carrum Downs, with the convenience of having the doctor and shops right next door.
