Graduation Ceremony of Cert IV in Ageing Support Program

The Graduation ceremony at Overbeek Lodge was a joyous occasion filled with pride and accomplishment. Amidst a backdrop of shared experiences and new beginnings, graduates were honoured for their hard work and dedication.

The event was a heartfelt celebration honouring the trainees who triumphantly completed their journey through the Cert IV in Ageing Support traineeship. It served as a testament to their dedication, resilience, and commitment to enhancing the quality of care for the elderly. Amidst applause and gratitude, it marked a significant milestone in their professional growth and contribution to the community’s welfare.

The trainees stood proudly as they received their hard-earned certificates, a culmination of their dedication and perseverance throughout their training. Surrounded by MiCare Board Members and Executives, the ceremony was a moment of recognition and encouragement, underscoring their achievement in completing the rigorous Cert IV in Ageing Support program.

Among the trainees, there were dedicated MiCare staff, already serving as homemakers, who eagerly pursued the opportunity to upskill and achieve formal qualifications. Their commitment to personal and professional growth was evident as they balanced their roles with learning. Additionally, new recruits to MiCare’s facilities at Overbeek Lodge and Margriet Manor joined the program, demonstrating enthusiasm to start their careers in aged care. Together, they represented a diverse group unified by a shared goal: to provide compassionate support and improve the lives of elderly residents.

Social Support Group

I attend the MiCare Social Support Group to connect with people, share a nice meal, and enjoy the company—I would truly miss it if I couldn’t attend. I look forward to the bus outings, as they give me the chance to socialise with others. The MiCare Social Support Group makes a big difference in my life. It gives me a reason to get up in the morning, stay active, and most importantly, have wonderful conversations with everyone. I chose MiCare after carefully considering different providers, and I’m very happy with my decision. My Home Care Package case manager at MiCare is always helpful and keeps in regular touch with me, which I really appreciate. I also enjoy living at MiCare Village in Carrum Downs, with the convenience of having the doctor and shops right next door.
