Celebrating the Voices and Leadership of Multicultural Women
This multilingual anti-racism awareness resource was created out of the Knowledge, Voice, Action: Multicultural Women Against Racism Program. These resources are a result of months of learning, collaboration and co-design. Developed with the Multicultural Women’s Leadership Network, the program was co-designed alongside participants to ensure it reflected the priorities, experiences and aspirations of multicultural women.
Across six interactive workshops, participants explored different forms of racism, their legal rights, how to respond to racism in workplaces, schools and public spaces, and the support services available across Victoria. Through open discussion, shared experiences and guest speakers, participants built the knowledge and confidence to support themselves, their families and their communities.
Building on the workshops, participants partnered with MiCare and Cúpla Studio to co-design a multilingual anti-racism awareness resource that captures the key messages they wanted to share. The result is an anti-racism awareness poster, translated into 13 languages and accompanied by audio recordings, making information about racism and available support more accessible to multicultural communities across Victoria.
The Multicultural Women Against Racism Program reflects MiCare Migrant Services’ commitment to building the capacity of newly emerging and multicultural communities to lead positive change. By partnering with community members to co-design both the program and the resource, participants strengthened their knowledge, confidence and leadership while creating a practical resource that will continue supporting communities across Victoria. Keys to Safety: Road Safety Program
These Road Safety information packs have been collated by MiCare for the participants of the Keys to Safety program in 2026.
