The Elvis Variety Concert at Overbeek Lodge

The Elvis Variety Concert at Overbeek Lodge was a hit, held recently to the delight of the elders. The tribute show featured an Elvis impersonator who brought the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll to life with a charismatic performance, belting out timeless classics like “Love Me Tender” and “Suspicious Minds.” The lively music had many elders swaying in their seats, clapping along to the rhythm. The energy in the room was palpable as the audience connected with the nostalgic tunes, making it a truly special afternoon filled with joy and smiles all around.

Residents were thrilled to experience the vibrant concert, with many sharing fond memories of their younger days when Elvis was a musical sensation. The show sparked conversations, laughter, and even a few impromptu dance moves from enthusiastic attendees. It was clear that the event was more than just entertainment – it offered a beautiful opportunity for the elders to bond over their shared love for music and relive cherished moments from the past. The Elvis Variety Concert will surely be remembered as one of the highlights of the year at Overbeek Lodge.

Social Support Group

I attend the MiCare Social Support Group to connect with people, share a nice meal, and enjoy the company—I would truly miss it if I couldn’t attend. I look forward to the bus outings, as they give me the chance to socialise with others. The MiCare Social Support Group makes a big difference in my life. It gives me a reason to get up in the morning, stay active, and most importantly, have wonderful conversations with everyone. I chose MiCare after carefully considering different providers, and I’m very happy with my decision. My Home Care Package case manager at MiCare is always helpful and keeps in regular touch with me, which I really appreciate. I also enjoy living at MiCare Village in Carrum Downs, with the convenience of having the doctor and shops right next door.
