Representing MiCare at Aged Care Week Conference – Sydney

The 6th Annual Aged Care Week 2025, held at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Sydney on 19–20 June 2025.

The event brought together key stakeholders from across the aged care sector to explore the future of aged care in Australia. With our industry at a critical juncture, the conference addressed regulatory reforms, funding models, workforce dynamics, quality of care enhancement, and the integration of technological innovation.

Graeme Wickenden, CFO, represented MiCare at the Aged Care Week Conference.

As part of the Aged Care Technology stream, Graeme delivered a presentation on “Leveraging Technology for Financial Sustainability”, where he discussed how digital solutions and innovative strategies can help aged care providers strengthen their financial resilience while continuing to deliver high-quality care.

He also delved into how strategic investments in digital infrastructure, data management, and care technologies can help providers adapt to the Act’s evolving guidelines, while simultaneously enhancing care processes and meeting the sector’s future needs.

Social Support Group

I attend the MiCare Social Support Group to connect with people, share a nice meal, and enjoy the company—I would truly miss it if I couldn’t attend. I look forward to the bus outings, as they give me the chance to socialise with others. The MiCare Social Support Group makes a big difference in my life. It gives me a reason to get up in the morning, stay active, and most importantly, have wonderful conversations with everyone. I chose MiCare after carefully considering different providers, and I’m very happy with my decision. My Home Care Package case manager at MiCare is always helpful and keeps in regular touch with me, which I really appreciate. I also enjoy living at MiCare Village in Carrum Downs, with the convenience of having the doctor and shops right next door.
