Planned Activity Groups

It’s vital for any older person to be engaged. At MiCare, we take that a step further by bringing culturally specific, rich and diverse activities to our elders, to suit their cultural, traditional and religious needs.

These might be activities, special celebrations or food.

Our culturally tailored activities take into account a person’s skills, interests and life history, to make the day fun, entertaining and rewarding. We offer a variety of new experiences aimed at involving each person.

Our Planned Activity Group can take many forms, and may include:

Fees

A daily fee is asked to cover the cost of the meals, and any craft and workshop materials. From time to time, the team organises special outings and if you agree to participate, the Planned Activity Group co-ordinator will inform you about the costs of the outing prior to the day. Sometimes the outing may cost more than the normal daily fee and, in that situation, the outing fee will replace the normal fee.

Our fees include any transport, to and from the program.
