This gives relief to the carer and allows them to take a break. There are different options for respite: help at home, day programs, emergency and residential respite care. Please note that for our residential respite care, a waiting list may apply. Respite Care can be provided at home, at a centre, such as a Planned Activity Group or in a residential aged care home.
To receive respite care in a residential aged care home, you will need to be assessed by your local Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) or (ACAS).
